Every year, reading is celebrated in a nationwide effort called Read Across America. Using the father of Beginning Books, Dr. Seuss' birthday on March 2nd as the date, children all across the country participate in some great reading activities. Here's what we did:
School Wide Seuss Trivia
Each morning on the week of 3/3-3/7, we'll be asking students a trivia question about Dr. Seuss. All correct answers will then enter a lottery and the winner for the day get a Dr. Seuss book. Stay posted to see the winners.
Grade 2
We're reading Dr. Seuss' Oh the Places You'll Go. On display in the library will be all of the places our second graders want to go, real and imaginary.
Grade 3
Dr. Seuss led a fascinating life. In 3rd grade, we're learning all about it.
