Wheelock Reads
We’re planning an even bigger and better Wheelock Reads this year. Wheelock Reads is when our school community celebrates Books, Reading and Authors. There are so many wonderful activities, we couldn’t fit them all into a week. And what better way to start off our Wheelock Reads than with Read Across America? By beginning on February 29th (the beginning day of Read Across America week), we’ll be able to also include our popular readathon (including grade 2 this year), April as Poetry Month, and spend more time on special activities celebrating a favorite activity - reading. We’ll end with a finale week and our author visits will be April 11th to April 15th. Let’s get booked!

Purchasing Wheelock Reads T-Shirts
This year we have Wheelock Reads T-shirts available for purchase to help celebrate. The T-shirts are optional and every student will get a free Wheelock Reads button to wear on our T-shirt and button days (3/14 & 4/11). The Wheelock Reads image (on the front of the shirt and button) was created by our very own Art Teacher, Ms. Babin. If you are interested in buying T-shirts, they are available on Zazzle and styles, colors, and sizing are customizable (check out the sizing chart). Different options may affect the pricing. Any proceeds will go towards other T-shirts to be raffled off and library books.
