Poetry Slam
Roses are red, violets are blue, Wheelockians are poets - you know it’s true.
The second and third grade students have created amazing poems during Library class. They learned about the history of Poetry Slams, studied different types of poems, and using Google Slides & Seesaw composed their very own creations. In second grade, students used copyright free clipart while third graders practiced copying and pasting images (and citing the url in Slides Notes section). As a celebration, we ended with our very own library class Poetry Slam. A Poetry Slam is a competition where poets share their work. In our case, we're focusing on the sharing, and using technology to help express our poem's mood. So please enjoy our poems!
