List of Events!
All Week (19th - 23rd)
Draw your very own bookmark for Wheelock Reads week. Blank bookmarks will be sent home for you to design and then hand in to the library by Friday, May 23rd. The winning bookmark from each class will be photocopied for the rest of your class to keep. Please do not color your design in, so when copied, others can color their own.
Horrible Harry Challenge
Try to complete the Horrible Harry Challenge! Can you read at least 18 of Suzy Kline’s Horrible Harry books? Pick up a bookmark in the library to keep track. All who complete it will receive a bookmark and get to sign the Wheelock Window of Fame. A raffle will be held for signed Horrible Harry books and drawings from previous authors.
Caught in act of reading
Prepare to be caught...in the act of reading at any time or place. If you’re caught reading by the library staff, your picture will be taken and posted on the library website. You’ll also receive an interesting or unusual fact.
Wheelock Wake-Up Words
The best way to start the day is with wonderful words to say. Listen each morning during Wheelock Reads for a fun or inspiring poem, quote, or riddle.
